The Horizon was designed shortly after the Solander in response to a request for a kayak with slightly more stablity and with most of the Solander's easy responsive paddling characteristics. A bit more volume was added to the chines creating a medium sized kayak that is moderately chined for initial stability. It tracks well and is easy to turn when leaned on its slight chine. The versatile Horizon is also available as a three-piece sectional known as the Horizon-S.
